Post your DIY Caves.

I'm looking for ideas for a possible cave, I want it to looks natural and yet simple.

You can always get some pieces of slate from a local rock/stone supply and arrange them.

take a 3 or 4" section of black plastic pipe then cover the entire thing in silicone, let it sit for 5-10 mins the roll it in sand gravel or whatever else you want to use...it comes out really nice

Get a nice large piece of pumice stone, boil it clean and carve it out to your heart's content. Get some short moss to cover it and it will look great. Mine's in the storage shed so no picture for now.

I just made a few caves for my bettas. One I made with an olive jar...aquarium sealant..and some gravel..






I plan on planting that little tank up more...and making a smaller cave..I am currently treating my fish with a little aquarium salt though...He is quite the fin-biter!

I also made a coconut cave:


I plan on sticking moss all over the coconut eventually...It is hard to find moss locally here though.
