Better off placing the bubbles inside/ near the inlet of the filter I think so they get "chopped" up by the impeller.

What kind of filter do you use? Canister or hang on back?

I've done the DIY into the intake on both but the hang on back is noiseyyyyyy.

Do you have a bubble stone? If so and you are doing the HOB filter maybe run the line into the back of the filter with a bubble stone attached. This will help churn the little bubbles to dissolve them into the water and dispersed as it leaves the filter and be silent.

Or buy a diffuser online somewhere.

in the meantime a chopstick works great. jam the tip into the end of the co2 line. works as a makeshift airstone.

If its a HOB I would just use an air stone. If its a canister pry apart a space on the inlet and stick the air tube in.

Cut a piece to tightly fit into the end of the vacuum line and it will produce tiny bubbles
