at what point do plant pearl. i see buubles coming up when the lights are on and was wondering what the saturation point is

i'm not sure, but you have to have co2 into the water enough for them to be releasing alot of O2, which is the pearling bubbles

I believe it has to do with the oxygen saturation being high in your tank, thus the plants producing oxygen is show through little air bubbles, pearling.

Something like that im not to positive on the exact science behind it but im sure somebody more educated will chime in.

shouldn't be too hard to look up the O2 saturation level of water on google. Once you hit that, if the plants are still photosynthesizing, then you'll see pearling.
Tanks without CO2 usually don't photosynth. fast enough to pearl
Tanks with heavy bioloads won't pearl because the fish are using up too much O2

Remember, just because a tank won't pearl doesn't mean there's something wrong. As cool as pearling is, it's not the sole indicator of a successful tank.
