DIY light fixture with adjustable hinges?

Hey, I'm building a DIY light fixture for a hybrid T5 HO/LED combo. It's rudimentary with sheet metal, silicone and magnets with single brackets. I think I've got that aspect of construction and am fairly confident it will work. The more I consider it, however, I was hoping there was a way to add some type of hinge or something so that I could angle it up at like a 30-40 degree angle for cleaning. Has anyone seen or done anything similar? Thanks!

What kind of tank do you have? is it rimless or are you planning on setting everything up on the rim?
can you drill into the ceiling or make a hanging fixture?

I have my DIY LED fixture hanging 4 inches above the tank and that gives me enough space to get in there and do maintenance

PS excuse the tank, it's right after it crashed

It's rimless. I brought two single track rods that I'm planning to drill to the back of the cabinet and bought two brackets to attach the diy light sheet on via wire or screws. Still waiting for that piece to come and will have to play around with the height a bit. I just am not too diy build savvy and was curious if anyone has ever used hinges or something similar to pivot the lights up for cleaning/maintenance.

No worries about your tank! Hope you get it up and running smooth soon. I really like your light build, how did you put that together?

Thanks.

Yes, hanging from the rods is a good clean look.

yeah, it was pretty easy, the main fixture is made out of 3 aluminum pieces and held over a wooden frame that matches the stand. it was cheap to build
I have some pics on my signature.

I would love to see how your build turns out. share some pics when it's ready
