Modding Chinese Black Box

I bought one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DFLPJY4..._-YNYEbVNTW0HY

I’m wanting to swap some of the bulbs out of my blue channel since I don’t use it. I’m wondering if anyone here had any luck or experience doing something like that.

These are pretty cheap and I thought about trying them for my first go round with this:

Chanzon 10 pcs High Power Led Chip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DBZIQ24..._p0NYEbKK7C8QN

Any of the led gurus wanna chime in?

As long as those diodes run in the same voltage range as the ones already in the fixture you will be fine.

if you have a multimeter and take the fixture apart you can see what voltage/amperage those LEDs are running at and then buy a good white replacement

I actually wouldn't mind having the blue, depending on the spectrum they can help with plant growth

Yeah I don’t have a multimeter but I’m pretty sure I found the same led beads in different colors. The blue channel is just too blue. I can run the white channel on 100 percent and if I barely even turn the blue on it just isn’t very good looking. I plan on doing a mix of 6500k white, some deep red, some 620 red, some cyan, violets, a few 10000k, and so forth. I like the idea of being able to tweak it until I’m happy with the spectrum. I’ll post updates as they come.
