Where to get replacement parts for glass tops?

I am looking to make some glass or acrylic tops and I was wondering where I could get the plastic handle and the plastic piece that connects the two parts together. I can't just go buy them because I was going to put the tanks length wise and all the tops I have ever seen open width wise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Couldn't find them when I was looking so I made the handle out of plastic and used epoxy to attach it. Works HTH

Check with a local glass shop (kicking myself) don't know why I didn't think of it when I've picked up cut orders. (Homer Simpson moment)

You could also try your local LFS if its not a box store. We sell lengths of hinge for glass covers at like $18 for 6ft I think and the handles for a few dollars.

Hi oblongshrimp,

Drs. Foster and Smith have the handles, hinges, and the back plastic strips for the Aqueon (All-Glass) Versa-Tops.

Perfect, thanks! I thought they sold them but I couldn't find it when I was surfing around on their site the other day.
