Sealant options

I’ve been researching safe ways to seal my background and everything seems to have some sort of bad along with it. Can anyone recommend a sealant I can use to cover my background. I would prefer a clear sealant considering I already painted it but repainting wouldn’t be the worst thing so any suggestions please?
