DIY filter unit. What flow rate should i choose for powerhead

Hey folks.. I'm planning a DIY filter system for my planted tank. Currently having an internal sponge filter. I wanted to upgrade and build something like the attached diagram. I have a 10 gallon tank. I have 2 power heads. 1 rated 100 GPH max output and 1 rated 200 GPH max output. Considering that flow through the filter media will slow down the final output what flow rate should i consider using.

This the diagram of the plan

I vote 100 gph.....turning your tank over almost 10 times an hour is plenty.

Thanks...
But, 100 GPH is the Max output of the powerhead. And the filter media would slow down the outflow speed right?

Why does everyone always think this stuff is easy..

There has always been a "philosophical" difference between the high and low flow rate camps...
Maybe the correct answer is 2 filters.....................

All things considered (or guessed at) the 100gph should be sufficient..
