DIY stand for 40 Breeder with 20g Long construction?

Hey all, trying to design a stand for a 40B that will also fit a 20g Long in the bottom as a sump. Most of the 2x4 designs out there are either too shallow front to back or not long enough depending on the orientation of the lumber to fit a 20g Long

I've found one or two solutions that could work, but it doesn't seem to me that they would adequately support the weight, albeit I don't know for sure (the threads I've found them in were incomplete). If anyone has a good design for corner supports that would aid in my project please mention them. Some thoughts I had initially had: would wrapping 1/2" plywood on the ends give enough stability if I used smaller structural lumber? Could I use smaller lumber regardless if I permanently affix panels for rigidity to the sides? What design should I use in that case?

I have MTS

Go to petco and look at their stands. Open the doors and look at the insides. They are made out of nothing but particle board sheet. Plywood is stronger and will hold up MUCH better than particle board. With quality woodworking a plywood only stand will be plenty strong enough. If you aren't a competitent wood worker it is hard to mess up a 2x4 stand build, they are pretty basic.
