Advice on decapsulating brine shrimp eggs to hatch

Ive been using the San Francisco brand of brine shrimp eggs and successfully got them to hatch with the normal hatching method.

I have killed several batches attempting to decapsulate them ( not one hatches).

First issue I have is the eggs never turn bright orange like I see in the how to guides. They turn orange brown. This may have caused me to expose them too long to bleach on a number of tries. I have since stopped bleaching when they turn orange brown but still am not getting hatching.

Iíve seen SOME folks say they use ice cubes while bleaching because the bleach reaction apparently causes enough heat to kill the embryo. Going to try that.

Iím using nonscented bleach. It is ďconcentrateĒ for high efficiency- the bottle says 8%. Iíve tried 50/50 water to bleach and 33/67 water to bleach, notice no diff except length of time to turn brown orange.

Any tips please? Iíve followed various online guides and found some posts here on this site.

Crazy question...but if they hatch normally, why decapsulate them?
