CO2 plunbing question

Hello,

Today I received all parts to start my paintball 20oz tank setup, but turns out that I have wrong type of connectors ... well at least I am missing one more part (adapter)

I got this regulator:

and it need to go on this:

The only adapter I was able to find is this:

http://www.homebrewing.org/The-Adapt...er_p_1122.html

two problems with that adapter;
1) I am not sure if the side that screws on the 20oz tank will release the pin valve (there is no picture)
2) a little expensive

Does anybody know who else may carry adapter like that?

Thank you.

sorry...I dont kno about paintball CO2 threading

however...youre going to be dissapointed with that switch
they sell them as "regulators" but its really a crappy on/off switch...youll have to adjust it daily...I went thru 3 (leaking sets) before finally buying a real regulator

but it looks almost exactly like my last one (i had a white handle tho) and it didnt need an adapter to go onto paintball tanks

it is IMPOSSIBLE to find 1 person who regrets going pressurized

if you do it right, you can spend a lot of money in this hobby...of course, if you do it wrong - you'll spend A LOT more

I did the whole paintball thing too and it was marginal for awhile. Then I got wise and went complete pressurized with 10 lb tanks. One tank last me more than 6 mo.

Have a look for a engineering supplier locally and take it in to them, they should be able to find something to make it work.
Then they can also unscrew the hose outlet on the side and fit a needle valve and rescrew the hose fitting onto it.
Look for a company that does control valves and they can probably do you a reasonable price on a solenoid too.

I have that very adapter and it works just fine. You need to attach it securely to the regulator first, then screw the paintball tank into the adapter. There is a post machined into the adapter that presses the pin valve.

Thanks!

I emailed vendor to see if they can send me a picture of that adapter from the 1/2" tank side connector.

But you just confirmed that adapter has a pin.
Will order it today.

I also have high quality needle valve, that I will use on this regulator.

Maan, I can't win!

So I got this paintball tank adapter, and still no go

aposterprises,

How did you connected this adapter to the regulator??
As you can see from the last picture, that hole is a little bit small ...

Off to the machine shop to cut the hole bigger.

The paintball adapter just threads right into the nut on my regulator. Are the threads on your regulator JIS m22-14 (for Europe/Asia) or CGA 320 ( for USA)?

You got me , I have no idea
How can I confirm what I have?

Did you use any tape to seal the threads?

Did you buy the regulator from somewhere in Asia via Ebay? If so, it's more than likely not cga320. Paintball cylinders in the US that are 9 OZs and up are also CGA320. They just need something to push the pin valve. CGA320 is the US standard for CO2 gas. The adapter you have is for hooking up standard regulators used for Brew masters, medical and industry to Paintball cylinders. I do use that adapter for paintball cylinders because I'm limited on space.

Yes, I did.
Came from Hong Kong, and itís manufactured in Taiwan.

O well, I will look for my "pepsi" regulator then, I was thinking to use this regulator (picture in my first post) because it's small, and looks better then what I have
