Trapped air bubbles in diy air driven filter

Hello guys first time poster here and new to the hobby aswell.I have just finished making my diy filter from a water bottle and noticed that some bubbles get trapped in the media.I use crushed terra cotta and sponge on the bottom. What i am worried about is the trapped bubbles becoming anaerobic zones and becoming hydrogen sulfide?or is that even possible?should i worry about this?
