Diffusing Co2 into a Aquaclear HOB

i just started my pressurized Co2, I'm currently using a ladder I had as a diffuser. I have a 45gal tank with 2 filters, a Fluval 305 and Aquaclear70 HOB. I know I could build a reactor for my fluval but is there a way to inject into the Aquaclear 70? Not sure if anyone has done this successfully? If so how and what media should I use in it?

hang on back filter, just trying all my options? My thinking was if I injected the Co2 at the bottom of the media it would be disolved before it left the filter?
