seal for pressurized Co2- help

Does anyone know if this seal will work? I know I need something in between the regulator and tank connection. I ordered a brass one which is going to take a couple days and the place I got my tank from is out!!! Want to get my system running.

If it's a temporary fix, and it seems to work without leaks, go for it. But from what I remember last time I looked, that center diameter may be too small.

Besides a possible leak, is there anything else that could happen? There is 800psi in the tank. Also I'm at work now but when I try tonight how would I tell if the center is too small?

If the washer sits firmly into the depression, it works. And a leak is about the worst that will happen. screw on the regulator, tighten it down with a crescent wrench, open the valve. If you don't hear a leak, coat the joint with soapy water. No bubbles means you're golden.

Lowes and Home Depot have nylon washers that should fit, if the rubber washer doesn't work. Does anybody happen to know the exact size (assuming we're talking about a standard industrial tank) of the nylon washer?

it is a standard size 5lb. tank. The lowes and home depot both stink by me. This was the best one I found. I also bought them in 1/4 and 1/2. After 3 different trips to different stores I got whatever I could get my hands on.

You should be able to get nylon washers made for that connection from whoever fills your tank. They're cheap as can be. They usually give them to me for nothing.
