DIY CO2 Diffuser, need some advice.

Hi,

I have a small decorative volcano that looks something like this.

http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/produ...371156t400.jpg

I was thinking of trying to turn it into a diffuser. I am thinking of placing a ceramic disk in the center of the volcano and let the pressure from the gas push itself through the disk.

I've tried putting some matting into the hole, but the bubbles came out less frequently and a larger size.

So, I've seen the glass diffusers, but I am uncertain about how much CO2 pressure is actually forcing the gas through the stone. If the stone requires a large amount of pressure, then maybe there is a different material I could try.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

You could try hiding a nano ceramic diffuser in there, they're not very big. Adding an led inside the volcano to light up the bubbles will be pretty cool too. They sell submersible leds at Michael's (an arts and crafts store).
