My sick $20 Do it your self CO2 Generator

$20 Total cost - Hardware.

Click on the video

What I started with.

I bought the elite mini pump as a diffuser as it has a 1/4 barb on the end of the outlet nozzle and figured it would work and it does very well.

So, that's a plastic bottle and an air pump? Maybe you could explain a bit more about this reactor?

Clicky the video you can see the CO2 escaping the coke bottle thru the check valve into the OJ bottle / bubble counter , thru the silicone tubing and into the mini filter where it gets diffused into tiny bubles.

i think he means his "Sick $20 DIY Co2 generator"

glad youre excited about it...but @$20...you paid too much (2 bottles ($3), some tubing ($5), and a mini filter ($8)) ..or maybe not

...your bubble rate is too high for that size tank...youre going to gas your fish unless you have some means of adding O2 to the tank or off gassing some CO2

it is IMPOSSIBLE to find 1 person who regrets going pressurized

if you do it right, you can spend a lot of money in this hobby...of course, if you do it wrong - you'll spend A LOT more

OK title changed, and yes I paid a few $$$ more for my mini pump and hardware - but I always shop at my LFS, they price a little higher but they have top notch customer service.

I think the majority of the cost incurred is with the sugar more than the yeast.
