high CRI COBs

Just so people know they are available..
These use a violet pump base and a phosphor pack to reach 95 plus CRI,,

NOT cheap but these are about the least expensive single COBS using violet base:

$3/ Watt which is pricey..
Base K is from 2700 to 6500k (6500k is hard too find in a high CRI chip)
21V max so LDD's and a 24V power supply will work just fine..
Though 350mA is "closest match" to specs.
Unf. that will bring total power down to about 35W for $135..And efficiency "seems" to be only in the 50L/Watt range..
Though that is visual power and doesn't include much in the deep red/blue/violet range so it is a bit misleading for plants..

just be glad you don't need "reef level" power output..

Personal observation though.. Running high CRI chips at higher than 500mA has been more problematic on my 55 than running 3W cheap chips at 1000mA on a 40B
Point is it is possible to go "lighter" on output than one would usually consider..
not all are violets though.

using a fewer here and there as "supplement" chips is a possibility..
W/ the violets its getting that range w/out the usual, to me, ugly toning of violet..

Actually it is cheaper to deconstruct SORRA lights..but not for everyone..
7.5W $19.93..2.66/W
