repairing scratched aquarium glass

I've been reading up a lot on repairing aquarium glass

Cerium oxide, toothpaste, car polish..

All those seem fine for the small stuff, but there are no solid fixes for deeper scratches.

I came upon this product while searching out silicones.. Sika Crystal Clear.. I'm not sure if its aquarium safe (i wouldnt use it for structural). it does dry almost completely transparent so I thought this might be a good filler for those deeper scratches ??

It says it also bonds to acrylic as well.. so might this be a decent way of joining glass to acrylic?

any thoughts?

The product sheet states not for permanent water immersion so I doubt it would last long.

The general rule of thumb is that any scratch that is deep enough that it can be felt when you run your fingernail perpendicular to it, is too deep to fix.
