DIY Stand questions 29 Gallon & 10 Gallon

I have little knowledge of wood weight support, but I would like to use what I have without buying anymore material.

I have a whole bunch of Birch 3/4" Plywood.

I'm wondering if I could build a stand that would support a 29 Gallon then seperately build one that would support a 10 gallon out of just plywood.

These would be about 30" high. If I can I know I have enough left over to build hoods also.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I know most people would say to use some sort of framing, but that entiles more cost....

Thanks

Also run an LFS so I deal w/ over 30 tanks daily.

plywood is fine. make sure your cuts are square and your joints are solid and you will be fine. most of your commercial stands are made with less

Absolutely you can check this thread for a real cool stand built with ply...it's probably overkill for what you need but you can get some ideas from it and scale it up or down.

Or check the sticky at the top of the diy forum for more stands, there are a few in there that are only ply

That stand is still in use, and still strong and unbowed. Plus it was a lot of fun to make. But just a simple 3/4 plywood box, open in front for doors, works very well for a stand.
