CLR is safe for cleaning aquariums?

Some of the comments below the article say it wont weaken the joints/seal as long as it is rinsed within a couple minutes, is this for real, I can use the stuff without worrying about it causing a leak?... http://www.myaquariumclub.com/cleani...-pro-2754.html What do you all use? https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...&ans_success=1

I wouldn't use it. silicone has a habit of absorbing chemicals it has been exposed to and thought it MAY not happen why chance it?
A cheap scraping razor blade and 50/50 white vinegar will do the trick for even the nastiest of stains and buildup.

I use it to clean glass tops but i wouldn't use it for inside the aquarium. Regular white vinegar work fine for cleaning

Vinegar and razors help, but it's not enough for me.

Vinegar, razors, and wool pads help, but it's not enough for me.

Which CLR is it? CLR is usually just an acid base, so it'd really just be a quicker vinegar. I have had success spraying vinegar onto paper towels and letting it soak awhile before scraping.
