Moonlighting - Simulating the moon phases

Has anyone figured out a way to simulate the moon phases for their DIY moonlighting?

I'm thinking something like Neptune's system...

Re: Moonlighting - Simulating the moon phases

R2 solutions has a moonlight controller to replicate moon phases, but I don't know what it would take to make it work with diy lights.

EDIT: r2 moonlight controller is extremely buggy, resets randomly. It has been discontinued.

moon phases huh... I may have to incorporate this into my Dawn and Dusk simulator. That would make it truly awesome.

Waning/ waxing moon phases-Yes please- do it!
Actually if U could also incorporate the Batman symbol to shine on the substrate for special occasions- this would be very cool as well to keep up that "natural" look! jk
