Help making a vortex reactor.

I can't find any instructions anywhere on how to make one of these things. Are they any better than just a regular D.I.Y. reactor? Does anyone have a set of instructions or design for creating the vortex?

Thanks

I cannot link at work, because I cannot get Toms website at work. But its on Toms forum. barrreport.com search vortex there, or i'm sure someone will eventually link it. And yes they are better. IMO.

I'd go with an inline reactor if I was you... What size tank are you going to put it on?

Oh wait, I might be thinking of something else. Venturi and Vortex the same thing?

I'm using diy co2 on a ten gallon aquarium. I am curious about how well a vortex will diffuse the co2.

I think those little vortexes are good for up to about 30 gallons. It should work pretty good on a ten gallon (maybe too good). I'd go with the inline just to keep the junk out of the tank, but on a 10 gal, an inline would be overkill... You should probably just use a glass diffuser on a tank that small.

Thanks for all the help guys. Does D.I.Y. co2 create enough pressure for a glass diffuser?

It depends on the glass diffusers. Some will work with DIY CO2, while others will not.

Sometimes, though, it is just a case of leaks in the DIY CO2 setup that appear before sufficient pressure is accumulated to force CO2 through the ceramic disc.
