What glue for airline?

I have some airline that I need to connect to one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I tried silicone but it didn't hold up. It sticks to tubing on the pump but it slid right off the airline.

Is there a different glue I should use? Or do I need to prep the airline before using the silicone?

I use super glue to seal airline to small fittings like 10-32's. It does make a somewhat brittle seal and does color the end of the tubing but then that also makes it reasonably easy to peel off when I want to change. As the tubing end is brittle, I cut it back each time.

The problem is the line on the pump is an abnormal size. It is 1/8" ID, 3/16" OD while airline is 3/16" ID, 1/4" OD. I can't find any barbs that would help. But the pump's tube does fit almost perfectly inside the airline. Not well enough to to rely on though.

Found a reducer barb on ebay
