diy co2 into 2217

What's the best way to do this? Right now I've got a reactor with a powerhead, frankly I'm sick of the powerhead. What's wrong with just connecting it to the 2217 intake? I've got 2 2L bottles under the tank now with yeast mixture. I also need sponge prefilter for my shrimps that I need to be able to remove easily for cleaning.

Putting it on the intake works great on the 2217 filters.

How exactly do you get the airtube onto the intake, and not tear up the. Prefilter?

the only problem that i see is you will be injecting 24 hrs a day, I prefer using a powerhead because i can turn the powerhead off when the light are off and the CO2 just bubbles up.

Just keep a close watch on your fish when the lights are off.

Just cut a small hole and put the tube in there.

As far as just shoving the tube into the prefilter, I would have to make a hole in the hard plastic mesh screen, and have the airline going through both that and the sponge. The problem would be lining that up while its still in the tank, and doing that every time o clean the sponge. I also don't want a bunch of extra holes in the sponge.
Maybe I'm over thinking it.

You can always get something like this. Ebay has them for $12-15 shipped
