Best Recipe?

I know this is kinda of a ambiguous question, but i figure i would try anyone.

What is the best DIY CO2 recipe, I want to make it last as long as i can. I plan on using a 2L soda bottle, unless there is something better? I have a nano diffuser coming and this is all for a 10 gallon with a power filter. Ive read so many different recipes, sugar, brown sugar, yeast, baking soda, molasses? I just want one that is easy and works for a good time! Please and thank you!

There really is no "best" recipe for DIY CO2. Most people will use a 2L pop bottle with 2 cups sugar and 1/4 teaspoon yeast. This usually is good for 2 weeks or so, though some people can get it going for 3 weeks.

Of course, you can experiment with different sugars (white versus brown), different yeast (bread versus wine), adding in various other ingredients (baking soda, molasses, gelatin, etc), but these all will just bring up the cost and the difficulty in mixing up DIY CO2 batches.

I like to mix in my sugar and my yeast and be done with it

I have had luck with the jello method. When I read the thread it claimed that it would last for 4-6 months. Mine is one month now.
