Suggestions for building adjustable lights

I'm setting up a 110g (22" high), low tech (no CO2) that will be behind a wall. I'm a little leary of having too much light and would like the flexibility to raise and lower the reflectors. anyone have suggestions as to a design for such a thing?

my LFS sold me t5ho (and now i know too many!); one is a 18000k bulb to bring out the colors of the fish. That said what do you recommend i use for lighting and daily duration? i think the 18000k light is a good idea so i would like to put that one on a timer for only at night when i'm home.

thanks in advance!
