2" clear pvc

Anyone in the Seattle Tacoma area looking for 2" clear pvc? I need to buy some but have to buy 10 feet. I will split the cost and gaive you 5 feet. It is a little less than 6 dollars a foot.

I have a good site for you to get the clear pvc from....

http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?p...t%20collection

you can buy a 3 foot length of 2-1/2 inch piece of tubing from their website but heres the catch there are no pvc fittings that will fit this so you have to trim a 2" piece of pvc to fit inside it.

Heres the Reactor I built:

The Supplies:

Heres the piece I told you, you would have to play with:

You have to buy a 2ft lenght of 2" pvc and trim about a 1/16th of an inch all the way around. I did this with running it through a table saw with a back and forth motion. This piece then fits inside of the clear tubing you then attach the couplings to the other side of the non-trimmed pvc.

If you have any questions or want better directions and what pieces are nescessary (spl) let me know.

How about shipping it. That's cheap for clear PVC. What is the name of the company you are getting it from?

The wall is quite a bit thinner and it is plastic not pvc so it will be more brittle.

Thats what worries me how that stuff will degrade with close to 80 deg and having water in it all the time. I don't keep my tanks at 80 but some people do. I have used PVC before with other materials and sometimes the bond is not so good.

Figure a little over 5' and about 7 to maybe 10 pounds from zip 98001.
I am not making money on this just trying to help someone and myself at the same time. My budget for this tank is shot so have to save money when I can.

If your budget is shot why not just use standard PVC. Clear is cool to look at, but nothing more. you will hear when there are bubbles trapped and it is not easy to use as a bubble counter so it is much cheaper to just use standard white pvc.

Hello - I am getting ready to build a reactor and I noticed that you have a little barb where the CO2 attaches. This seems better than the Rex Griggs style of just stuffing through the tube.

Where did you get that little hose barb, what is it called, and how did you attach it?? thanks
