Question about DIY glass tank construction?
Okay, so I'm in the process of building/setting up a 12''x12'' cube tank and I was wonder about how it's set up before it's siliconed together... By this I mean: will it be better for the front, back, and sides to sit on top of the bottom piece of glass? Or should the front, back, and sides go around the perimeter of the bottom piece similar to the bottom piece being "fenced" in?
Does it matter? Now that I think about it I think the bottom piece should have the sides on the outside of it rather then on top of it... Hopefully I'm wrong or it doesn't really matter though because I already ordered the pieces of glass: (3) 12''x12'' (2) 12''x11-3/4'' -- 1/8'' thickness and it would have to be set up with them resting on top of the bottom piece... Hard to visualize without the pieces being in front of me...
Thanks in advance,
