equivalent wattage

Hello, I have a 48" eco-xotic on a 48lx18wx16h tank. I understand that PAR is a better reference than watts, but many sites still refer to watts. Would this be considered lo or medium light on my tank?

I have been trying to research and understand this. Came across Hoppy's great post on PAR -"I don't believe there is any consensus about the definition of low, medium and high light. But, here is my definiition, subject to, and almost certain to change:
Low light - 15-30 micromols of PAR - CO2 is not needed, but is helpful to the plants
Medium light - 35-50 micromols of PAR - CO2 may be needed to avoid too many nuisance algae problems
High light - more than 50 micromols of PAR - pressurized CO2 is essential to avoid major algae problems".
http://www.ecoxotic.com/community/wp...cification.jpg. I checked the specs on the eco-xotic and the PAR at 18" is 60; at 12" is 105. So if I average at 15" my PAR is about 82.5 which is high light? So is it correct to think I have high light? I have a low tech tank which has just finished a fishless cycle with medium planting and am just starting ferts so I am trying to get it 'right'. Can I do ok without CO2 injection, just Excel? Sorry for the long post; I would really appreciate any help!
