Eco-Exotic E-Series new and not working!?

Hi, just got my new EcoExotic E-Series LED. I put it on a metro shelf (open metal) with my plants underneath as my new tank was delayed. After about 1 hour it started flashing on and off. Checking the troubleshooting and wonder if it is overheating? How can this be? Totally open area, no canopy, nothing under it to restrict air flow. Any ideas or anyone else having issues? Bummed as I wanted to order another for a smaller tank.

Thank you! The store where I bought it is sending a replacement and a return form. Good to know, I really really want this light and another after it. Just hoping I don't loose all my plants now which I had just started.

ramping down

What's up now? I just got my replacement Ecoexotic E series; it is not ramping down. What could I be doing wrong? I checked the settings to be sure the daylight and moonlight were programmed properly, thinking that could be the issue. But still not ramping down. UGH

Thanks, finally figured this out. Turns out it was ramping down but to the moonlight set at 100%. After reading more posts in the lighting forum it seems many people had this issue. They should assume some of us are totally newbs and not ship with moonlight at full or be more clear in the instructions!! Now I love it!

Hi, have had this light on my 80g for about 2 weeks now with some emersed plants (did not intend that, but schedule got messed up). Getting new growth all ready! Nice!! BUT, the light does not seem to ramp down at night. I made sure the moonlight was set properly. Any ideas?
