Changes to the satellite+ ???

I recently purchased a second satellite+ and it is different than my other one. It is no big deal as the change isn't huge but the IR receiver is much different and the housing of the light is slightly different, with ridges running the length of the light.

The light output seems to be about the same. Was there a reason for the change or any updates to the fixture alongside the cosmetic changes?

my guess would be before I heard people say thier tv remote would trigger changes to the light so im guessing thats why they changed the receiver.

Hey Everyone!

The ridges has to do with our manufacturing process and we thought the previous receiver was sort of an eye sore so we replaced it with something a bit better looking =). We constantly try to improve our products.

Best,
Kevin

Is there anything that can be done, as far as getting the new model with new IR receiver, if I'm having issues with it messing with my TV?

I noticed it as well, we bought a 48 inch for the 110 at my dads bar. I kinda like it though, I am not a fan of how there was no adhesive on it. Had to wedge it under the outflow pipe of the filter.

yep thats the only thing that I did not like about it, whenever I have to move the light ot get into my tank, the wires get in my way, in my old fixture that had adhesive on it I didnt have this problem. I sould fix it by putting some velcro onto the fixture/or my tank and the wires but then that defeats the purpose of a sleek fixture

Great feedback! We never thought of that. I will let our product developers know! =)
