Building a new Turtle Tank

Moving to a new house just build and have to tear down my 110g planted tank 60x18x24. I'm thinking of changing it too a turtle tank for my 2 red ear sliders. Have you seen the turtle tanks in Petco's stores , They have a ramp made of plastic looks like a tree trunk . Would like to build one like it with Styrofoam any input on how I could do this and what I would need?

If you google "above tank basking area" there are plenty of ideas people have created for turtle tanks. The ATBA is a great way to utilize space and allow the turtle full swimming space .

Cork bark works nice, plus you won't have to worry too much about the turtles chomping on it.

RES like to thrash about a little bit though! and can make a serious mess with their food so keep that in mind. Maybe if you do plants and things of the sort, placing them JUST out of reach will keep them from totally trashing the place heh :P
