Tropical fish - How to keep, care for and breed aquarium fish

Their (11.5" x 24") hexagon aquarium calculator seems to be incorrect, saying 41.2 gallons, while everyone else says 35.7...

I've crossed checked it with four other sites and they all seem to agree...

Just go to their forum and let them know . The calculator is probably not their's anyway .

My wife says if I get one more aquarium she is going to leave me . I sure am going to miss her fried chicken .

Most aquariums are not true to their volume. A quick google search will tell you that it's usually under what the specified gallons/liters amounts are. In my case, I have a 30 Breeder and it's actually more than 30 gallons filled.

The gallon difference seems like it is too large to be an external vs internal dimensions error right? I think the glass would have to be quite thick for that to add up to 5 gallons.

Breaking it up geometrically into two triangles and a rectangle, calculating/adding up the areas and then multiplying by 24", I get 7662 cubic inches or 33.16 US gallons.
