Looks like I'll be hanging around for a while.

I've been in the hobby pretty casually for 15 years and never really dove into planted tanks outside of a planted nano tank I ran for a few months as an experiment with some success. And for the last 5-ish years my only tank has been a nano 1 gallon tank where I just keep a population of MTS and ramshorn snails going mostly for the purpose of always having fully established bacteria but also partly for the snails. I've kept this population of snails going for nearly a decade and they really feel like my own.

But my drive for fish keeping has recently been re-sparked, my sister needed to re-home a pea puffer which ended up in my one gallon and to my surprise has it survived for the last 4 months soley on the snails. I've tried feeding blood worms but she ignores them. So I feed the snails and the snails feed my puffer.

So currently I'm running my 1 gal, a 2.5gal with a marbled crayfish, and a 100gal pond with white clouds. My plan is once summer is over to bring everything inside to a new larger aquarium.

Finally what led me to this forum is I wanted to add a super easy plant to my aquariums to improve water quality and fight the algae. I found some giant duckweed on ebay and am having great success with it in my 1 gallon, decently in my 2.5, and almost none on in my 100g pond.

I don't have much knowledge to offer but I'll be happy to participate and learn.

Thanks
