Hey everyone! I can't believe that my last post was back in 2009! Skimming through equipment and lighting forums, I've noticed the tech side of things have evolved rapidly to LED.
Past (if you search my name). Had a wonderful 40g breeder. Also a great 65g (see photos). I was part of the CFL days!!
Needless to say, 2 daughters, move, divorce, move again--its time to open up some old boxes and get back into this hobby!
Here's my plan and I'd really like input. I remember the likes of Aaron, Momo, Tom, etc. But like I said it appears there are so many talented folks here I'll take all input for consideration.
- 30 g breeder
- medium lighting--what to get?
- will use pressurized co2 with solenoid/timer
- eheim 2217 with external co2 diffuser (any suggestions on the diffuser)
At first I'd like to just the the tank up and running to get settled in.
I'm really looking at a medium light tank where the focus would be on java ferns, java logs, maybe some anubias, etc. However, you can see from the pics of my old 65, I'm really fond of adding some color (reds) to have the scape "pop." I do want some faster growing plants to keep algae at bay (that worked for me in the past).
Input is greatly appreciated! --Ed
