Help rescaping my 29g?

I'm looking to rescape my 29g planted. The lighting is a Finnex Planted+, no co2 or ferts (I'm considering getting a proper co2 setup when work picks up a bit). Here is my setup right now;

The only thing I really like is the driftwood I have in there (which I had to cut to fit it). The plants are kinda spewn around so I'll explain what I have

Right here, I'm considering moving the small driftwood and moss ball to a different tank. The anubias up front will stay and I've planted Hygro C. behind for a background (recently added, hopefully it will grow and I can plant more)

I have Staur Repens that's not really growing, not really dying. Its just kinda there. The small plant to the left I honestly do not know what they are. They're from my 10g that I bought when I did not know much about plants. Probably will get rid of them

Again, I'm not sure what this large plant it, but it seems to be growing very well so I'll probably keep it. More hygro also.

Last thing here is some java fern that has kinda exploded with growth and its doing its own thing. I'll probably trim it down a bit but leave it.

So yeah that's my current setup. I'm looking to improve, so any ideas on what plants I should keep and where to place them would be awesome. My stocking is 1 angelfish, 10 pristella tetras, and a juvenile albino BN pleco if that matters. Thank you in advanced

If you want to go for a more jungle look I'd recommend microsword for a foreground, some type of vallisneria in the back ground, and a hygrophila for the mid ground. These plants have done well for me in the past

Do you think the hygro I have will get very tall under these circumstances?

Is this tank brand new? I am predicting algae city if you are running a planted + over that setup

This tank is almost a year old. I keep the lights on for about 6 hours a day
