Seeking feedback

This is my dirted low-tech 17 gallon tank. Plants and livestock seem to be doing well. Somehow I feel like I missed the mark with my scape. Am I off balance? Do I need more hard scape on the right side? Maybe I just need to let it grow in? It’s about a month old. I’d love your feedback, suggestions, and advice.

Since your asking for feedback. Looks like you have a triangular scape with the way the hardscape is positioned. You should have anything tell in the left corner sort of interacting with the wood and then go down in height from there. If you can grow the carpet all the way around the base of the driftwood including the left front it would work well. That's the way I see it anyway.

Thanks for the response! Yes I am aiming for a triangle layout. I just trimmed so the plants in the back left are not as high as they are intended. I really like your idea about extending the carpet around the driftwood! I wonder if it will be too shady... also would you suggest transplanting runners over there or just let it spread in its own time?

I would transplant some of the runners. See if you can cut some out iwthout disturbing too much of it. You might have to cut things back or move the crypts and other lowlight plants closer to the wood to give enough light to the dhg.
