Hello, welcome to the hobby and the planed tank! Anubias and Java Fern are both epiphytic(did I spell that right?)plants, meaning they are best attached to hardscape eg. driftwood and rocks. Also, don't waste your money on flourish glue. Superglue has the same ingredients for a fraction of the price. You will also want a mild fertilizer for the plants. How many plants do you have? Anubias and java fern are not so good for newly set up tanks as they are very susceptible to algae. Hydrocotyle leucocephala (AKA Brazilian pennywort). It grows fast, looks kinda nice, and is very hardy. As for aquascaping, always slope the tank. In your case with sand, I would slope back to front so detritus and uneaten food rolls to the front so you can see and remove it. Do you know about the nitrogen cycle?
Sorry about the info overload. You can check out my tank journal for ideas. Please also let us know before stocking the tank.
