Dave's Fish Room

Figured since I now have multiple tanks and a fish room I would make up a read showing everything. So far I have 4 planted tanks running with three more planned. I have a 46 bowfront Asian streambed, which since my last thread update has been stripped of all non-Asian livestock and plants. I have a 25 gallon dirted amazon themed tank, a 75 amazon themed tank and a 30 extra tall housing two breeding angels and extra plants to be grown out. I recently bought a 120 for a steal! Got it for $100 with a sturdy stand, 9 heaters from 50-250w, 8 or so HOB filters from a penguin 350B and aquaclear 70 to small internal filters, four functioning florescent light fixtures and a 30 long tank. The 120 will either be a dirted community of assorted angels, clown loaches and whatever else I want OR a dimly lit, lightly planted black water cichlid habitat for geos, plecos, etc. I'm thinking about a dirted apisto tank for the 30 long. I also have a 5 hex that I'm considering using for RCS. Nice thing is I only need plants and livestock. I have equipment comin out the wazoo now! Now onto the pics.

46 Asian Streambed:

Currently all crypts with river rock and driftwood. A power head adds some current to act like a small stream. Livestock is 3 yoyo loaches, 1 zebra loach, 6 harlequin rasboras and 2 galaxy rasboras. I'm considering adding either rainbows or gouramis and upping the rasbora numbers.

75 Amazonian River Bank:

Sand and gravel substrate with stump/ root like driftwood coming off a river rock ledge. Amazon swords, frogbit, anubias, crypt balansae and spiralis, aponogeton crispus, green tiger lotus and dwarf sag. I know some are not SA native but I was more concerned about the look and getting hardy plants. Livestock is currently 20 neons, 4 corydoras cats (1 Sterbai, 2 agasizzi, 1 albino), 5 electric blue acara fry and four bristlenose plecos ( 3 albino females and a standard brown male). I'm planning on 6-8 more Cory's and 6 juvenile angels. And don't worry, once the cichlids get bigger they ll be spread out.

25 Bolivian Ram Tank:

Dirted with MGOPS and capped with assorted gravel( supernaturals and pet-smart brand) planted with amazon sword ( mother plant that's putting out babies) Val's, dwarf sag, narrow leaf elodea and one tiger lotus which will likely go with the others in the 75. Livestock is 3 juvenile Bolivian rams of unknown sex though I suspect male, 11 serpae tetras, four otos, three nerites snails, pond snails and two homeless amano shrimp which have proven to be algae killin machines.

30 XT Angel Breeder:

Tahitian moon sand and osmocote. Planted with various leftover crypts, Val's and a sweet dwarf penny wort mat I bought but haven't found a place for. I figure the angel fry will love it! Only fish are my mated pair of silver angels. Just had eggs too, and of course they bypassed the slate and went for the filter intake...

And here's my empty 120 in waiting

And an overall

What!? Thats a crazy price! I wish I could find something around me for that price! All of your tanks are incredible, keep up the good work!

Also, do you use CO2 for the 75?

For whatever reason I wasn't feelin the planted 75. The plants were on the decline in the inert substrate so I pulled them for my dirted 120 gallon build. The 75 has since become an Amazonian black water biotope. More leaves to come along with more neons and Colombian tetras. The acara and Angels will be moving to the 120.Click image for larger version
