Looking really awesome.

I do have a question. I'm vary new to planted tanks and all, but what is that blue filter looking thing on the right.

I may be mistaken but I believe those are on the downhill side of the river, and are just PVC pipes wrapped in some filter media where the water enters the pipe. Then I saw the green plant/pot in the center was leaning the other direction and wasn't as sure.

Bass don't need a ton of flow. They are more commonly found in areas just like you describe--gravel pits and damns. They will NOT thrive.

Further, BASS will get too large for an 85 and you best check local regulations about keeping live Bass in aquaria. many states have laws pertaining to this(collection).

well i need to get some updated pics. this tank is doing alright. just dealing with algae, and co2 leak issues. but i have a canister filter on the way a SunSun 303b the one with UV built in. and i plan on adding a co2 reactor inline so flow should go up. the plan is to put the out put closer to the substright

You can't see FLOW in a picture. The RIVER is the flow. Having it flow from one side to the other without back flow, like you would get without the pipes. The pipes make it so that there is high flow going one direction, like in a river.
