Java Moss- improving
R. rotundifolia- robust, trimmings traded to LFS
R. wallichii- poor, removed
R. macrandra- Dead.
Ruffle Sword- two of three dissolved and remaining sample looks good. Vallisneria- die off when planted, much new growth, runners!

Dwarf Hair Grass- never looked good, removed.
Hygrophilia polysperma- good
Cabomba- good

Thanks so much for commenting!
Yeah that driftwood rocks. You can't really even see it now for all the plants. I have come a long way and feel proud that I've actually grown some aquatic plants! But, I so need to get a vision and part of that should be getting the driftwood back into view. Oooh, I forgot I had this pic. It's difficult to get a sense of scale in this pic, but the drifwood is huge. Here's what I wrote in my blog at the time:
"I acquired it from the local fish shop (LFS). The tag it came with identifies it as Malaysian Wood XXL. You can find the website listed on the tag here, although I don't see the XXL listed. I paid $55 for this piece. The price seemed quite reasonable. When I showed my wife the price tag she did not complain. It's quite large, about 24Lx13Wx18H. I anticipate some tannins."
I just changed water until the tannins dissipated for the most part. Also, they never really bothered me. The piece was slightly larger originally. The LFS worker suggested "chainsaw" and I was off! I think I was able to use a jigsaw or something smaller. Some of the piece is even buried in the substrate!

Time to get your scissors out!

I'm digging the DW too, its a nice piece, something like that is somewhere around $100+ around here.

One last thing, those two male Blue rams, they're most likely fighting and not in love. I've been there done that. I recommend getting a few females.

You'd think! They did drive two females (non electric) out of the tank, just hated them. The two Electric Blue, neither fish exhibits any signs of being female and they just hang out together and that's about it. You'd think the EBs they were a mated pair. I wish. I can't even fantasize(?) they are. They look almost exactly the same. They dart at each other occasionally during feeding, but that's it. Very relaxed otherwise.
Scissors, you are correct sir! But first a vision and a little more learning!
Thanks, David
