(first journal) 55g high tech planted

tank; 55g
co2; pressurized 20lb tank w/ inline reactor and "pressure release" valve to mist the tank
filter; fx5 and another 4stage canister w/ inline 9w UV
light; 4x55w T5HO 3x6500k and on "red plantgrow"
substrate: eccocomplete
fish: 6 small discus (temporary) 2 apistos

Awesome tank!! That downoi field of yours... did you plant them like that individually or did it spread into that? I'm wondering because I've got some downoi that are beginning to develop daughter plants.

speedie408-- i got 4 stems about 2 months ago and i just kept cutting and replanting and i have about 30 including the small ones coming up.... lol didn't know how it was going to work but i like it..

hydrophyte-- i have had this set up for 2 years but started very diff lol here's a pic w/ my planted piranha tank.. but i just did a scape last week.. i still have allot of stem work

bmac thats downoi cool little stem plant thinking about doing a downoi foreground grows slow so less trimming and it wont invade everything like HC or glosso
