The Aquavas Thread

New tank! It was delivered by Alex from Aquavas himself. I have been a ADA fan for years and have had a few complete ADA setups over the years and wanted to try something different and larger but at the price point for a ada 120 it would be hard to afford especially after shipping costs. I have seen a few threads in the past about Aquavas setups and to be honest I have always thought they were ADA knockoffs and didnt think anything more of it. I later found out that they were selling these out of Houston. Being close to San Antonio where I am made me think why not give them a try. Everything looked good in pictures and I dont have to pay a huge amount to get a large setup shipped to me. Now that I have been playing around with the Aquavas 120 setup for a week or so and comparing somewhat to ADA stuff I have to say it is NOT 100% on par with ADA quality but I would say it is 97% there. The remaining 3% i would say comes with the "finishing touches" that ADA seems to have a better advantage with. Considering the price difference comparing it to ada price point for the similar items I would say it is a much better buy. Some can also say its a better bang for your buck. I am very picky when it comes to my tanks so I can honestly say it is good quality stuff. I initially had plans to do another planted tank but decided not to for this setup at this time. I wanted to try a fancy goldfish setup and keep the scape simple and clean. I will post pictures of all the items that came with the setup and talk about them a bit but for now I wanted to get you guys a few pictures of where it is right now.

Very nice simple but lovely scape. Have you considered trying a riparium (plants above the water with roots in tank)? Great way to deal with nitrates from goldfish.

Due to photobuckets new bs cost for use of images on forums I have deleted all photobucket accounts. I apologize if you enjoyed or found my photos helpful.

Just have to give props on a nice looking tank. So simple, yet so nice.

Too much light though? Surprised it doesn't light up behind the tank.

My eye is pleased.

So many different "looks" out there. I guess that's why a lot of us have multiple tanks.

The lights were on full power...each light has 2 plugs so you can use half the bulbs or all. The LEDs are very bright at full power. I just wanted to see how they looked but I usually only run half the lights considering there are no plants in this setup.

I am thinking about selling this setup locally if anyone is interested. I am thinking about a larger tank.
