Brians 55g high tech
Got a new 55g set up. Used to have a 36g medium tech tank and finally up graded. Tanks been running for about 3 weeks now. Has the following thing-
- Stand- Home made using 2x4 and birch wood. Stained with Kona color.
-Tank: Aqueon 55g with galss versa top
- Filtration: 2 Fluval 306 canister filters. Removed carbon and added seachem purigen.
-Substrate: Organic potting mix. Washed 3 times and dried out 3 tmes, than left it in bucket for 1 week. 1" thick capped by 2" eco complete.
-Lighting : Fluval fresh and plant 2.0 48-60". I originally had Finnex planted + on it, but was unhappy with the light down at the substrate level.
- Heater: Eheim jager
- Co2: 5lb tank with high purity Concoa regulator, swagelok fittings and needle valve. DIY Co2 reactor with built in by pass. 16" long reactor body and the rest is 3/4" fithings.
I was dosing with Seachem flurish, excel, trace, iron, phos, and potassium, but ordered everything to go EI from Green Leaf Aquariums, that will be here Monday and I will swap over.
I am not good with plant or fish names, but I have a variety of plants, some from the old tank, some new. Currently trying to get the baby tears to carpet out, I just planted them today along with a few others.
1 twig catfish
3 cory catfish
3 zebra loaches
2 vampire shrimp
6 rummy nose tears
5 danios of some sort, not sure the name
1 German ram
2 , Gold Killifish, male, female
3 orange flame tetras
3 long fin white cloud
4 glow light danios (had 5 but one jumped out)
2 fork tailed blue eyes. Had 3 more but they died :-(
2 glass catfish
The large wood on the left is still held down by a rock as it wants to float, but hopefully I can remove that soon. I also made a spray bar for the filter today, but it's not installed yet as its drying.
