Hi, yes it is dry started. The M. Tweediei was grown out emerged from 2ea - 2"x2" squares in potting soil over a 3 month time period. Right now it is being misted a couple times a day and the Saran Wrap is pealed back periodically. Just hoping for it to root over the next 3-4 weeks.

Great looking tank, what do your water parameters look like? I'm interested in PH, KH & GH.

Thank you! Week 16 was the last week of Nov. 2015, so the tank has changed a lot since then. Still trying to get caught up on updates.. But at that time the parameters were pH 6.5, GH 6, KH 0-1, TDS 200. Using RO/DI water and Salty Shrimp GH+ for remineralization.

Nice, I'm still debating about using Salty Shrimp GH+ or kh/gh+. Have is been hard keeping PH stable with using the GH+?

It may be best to add some bicarbonate to provide buffering against large pH swings caused by CO2 injection. Livestock don't cope well without some protection. KH of 3-6 is good so only a slight increase needed. You can use shell grit, crushed coral, limestone etc.

Yes when I was injecting CO2 the pH was very stable at 6.5. I don't think the Controsoil buffers the water at all, which in hindsight is probably a good thing since the RBT shrimp that I have prefer a pH of around 7.0 (perhaps this is why they are out of business? I love the size of the substrate though). Today my pH is at 7.0 and I just saw my first RBT babies a couple weeks ago.
