A Bedroom of Zen: Chronicles of a Planted Nano

Hey guys,

After an one year haitus from planted tanks and going into reefing, I'M BACK!

So far, my tank is quite empty, I'm waiting on a light from Nanobox.

I don't have much to say right now, but enjoy a picture of my empty tank! (The stuff stored in the tank are my reef supplies).

What sort of plan do you have for the tank? Plant ideas? Livestock?

Size of the tank without the glass top is something the shrimp people are going to love.

Looking forward to this!

(Let me know if this ends up being a journal and I'll move it to the Journal section for you)

Woops, would you move this to the journal section for me right now? For some reason I thought this was the nano-journals.

Right now I'm thinking a wood aquascape with low-light plants (anubias nana, Java fern windelov) and shrimp!

Please post about 10,000 more photos as you go through the build, as well!

Haha, it might be a while before I get the tank wet, because I'm also renovating my apt at the same time, but if you guys want/are interested, I'll also post photos as also I finish the area adjacent to my tank! I think you guys will like the final product, both the tank & the area surrounding the tank.

Sneak peak of what's to come!

The platform off the bed/sofa doubles as a bench to stare at the tank from!

this room is so nice, super sleek and modern. I like the whole floating plant idea it would of been cool if you made the planter almost line up with one of the panels but the wood you use is vertical.

Haha thanks. I tried the horizontal wood idea first, but it looked kind of odd because it seemed to go "against" the growth of the plant.

Thanks guys!

I just added a shelf above the tank, which I'm going to eventually hang my light from.
