Dario's Diary-New pics

I took my 20L 'Scarlet Dreams' down today, and reset it into a 15 gallon.
old thread-
https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/lo...s-20-long.html

I took the light off Thai's cube, and am using it on this. The current nova extreme.
Basing it on the original idea of my Dario Dario, I took a few fish out. Their tankmates are a Peckoltia sp,{removed} a pair of clown killies,{removed}2 threadfin rainbows,3 goby, crs, and some nerites.Here's what I have so far.{edit-found out after removing fish there are actually 7 dario dario still}

I actually like it better than your previous scape, and I think its a better setup for tiny dario.

I miss seeing green though. Background of corkscrew vals? Some kind of carpet plant? Hydrocotyle climbing all over the rocks? That crypt in the front left looks great by the way.

Are you putting the clown killies in here too?

Thanks guys. I'll get some pics tomorrow, it's already clearing, so you can see the rest. The sunset and sword are towards the back now. I like the size of this tank. I am not familiar with hydrocotyle, what does it look like? I have a swatch of weeping moss, and some fissidens stuffed between and on the rocks.
The clown killies will stay in the other tank as long as nobody bothers them there. I was very pleased and surprised to see all my crs were alive, and wow I had lots of amanos in there! I put all the amanos in the other tank too. I wanted to get a proper head count on the dario dario, but I was getting stressed out trying to get it all done quickly and safely, and forgot. I think there are about 9 or 10. I know there are three females, 2 white and one grey.

I really like the rock work. Lots of nooks and crannies to keep the fish happy. I think I'm going to try something along these lines.

the old tank was pretty rock'n.

This one looks like it has lots of caves for your Peckoltia sp to hang out.
Looks like you have new substrate as well.

Thank you. It's the same substrate, the SMS. Different lighting..and I washed the heck out of it. There is a little cave I built in the back too, it's made from 4 pieces of slate siliconed together into a rectangle. I made sure there were lots of caves. I left three large pieces of rock out, and some small dw pieces.

Anyone need some mts? Those snails are indestructible. I washed the substrate with a hose for hours, and I have pulled out at least 50 since last night.

I love the shape of the 15. I have one that I plan to get around to one of these days.

Thank you Ikuzo & Kid. The shape of the 15 is perfect for a 24" fixture.Always a hassle with 10's and 20's.
Here is a pic from just now

Still have some plant tweaking to do. That anubias and sunset sticking up were bothering me.
I thought of my 'green gecko', after planting. I think that's it on the right under the sunset.

Just too restless, have to keep creating...
Plus, I am on "Outlet Restriction". The funny part is he hasn't noticed it's a new tank, he thinks I just moved it.

I'm not sure if my post in your S&S thread made it clear, but I'm a big fan of any and all waterfaller1 aquariums (especially their exotic inhabitants). This layout looks really accomodating to your badis, the rocky cave design is awesome. As far as downsizes go, this one is top notch.

I'm curious which tank the occupants of Scarlet Dreams that didn't make the cut went to. Were the chocolate gouramis too large for a tank this size? And the dwarf chain loaches? Anyway, looking forward to pictures of your crazy critters, keep it up.
