Completely changed my 90 tank

Over the weekend I spent some hours on my 90g because I was very tired of the substrate ( Eco Complete and white gravel) mostly because of the white gravel...hated it.

I bought two 50# bags of filter sand and did this:

Looks almost white but its not

There are some plants still floating
What you think might help this tank?
Thanks!

It looks a lot nicer. What equipment are you using?

thank you.
I'm using a Fluval FX5 and two Maxi-Jets for CO2 distribution on both sides. Power Compacts 4x65w.

I would ditch the stem plants on left, find another small piece of driftwood
and imitate the other side with gap of sand in between.

Then maybe some floating rica on the surface.

The sand looks amazing I used play sand in my aquarium. Pool filter sand and play sand are very cheap alternatives and are great for an aquarium. I think having some rocks would REALLY help. I have a nice granite rock in my aquarium. I can show you some pictures if you would like.

What a difference! I also really like the right side. I think you need to do something to connect both sides. It looks like you have two different tanks when you look at each side. Love the difference the sand makes!

Just keeping on keeping on....
