Nice layout of the manzanita! Welcome to the Planted Tank.

Without Algae, death of mankind would be inevitable.

That is a nice tank, it looks like the riverbeds around here a bit. If you scraped off all the algae.

Thank you, kinda still in the planning stage I'm thinking lots of annubis and some easy stems like hygrophila difformis, but not for sure yet.

x2 on the Manzanita.
Those pieces would look unreal if you tied a ton of Anubias nana petite to the wood!

Thanks for the comments. Its gonna be awhile before I get enough annubias to cover every thing the LFS wants 7.99 to 9.99 apiece for them. the local petco gets them once in a while for 2.99 but they are not usually labeld by var. I think I might throw some narrow leave java ferns on there also if I can find any.

Keep your eyes on the S&S. Buy it a little at a time. You can store it a clear plastic container for awhile just spray it once in a while.

Talking

Started adding some plants, and also two marbled angels today. I think I'm gonna go online and buy a bunch of Anubis, its a major pain to pull the driftwood and tie on one plant at a time. Its kind of a balancing act to get it right again.

Water Wisteria, Brazillian Pennywort, Bacopa Carolina, Creeping Jenny, CRYPT Wendtii Green X4,anubias nana x2, Anubias Africa?, onion plant x2, Red Tiger Lotus, Java Moss (work in progress), unknown tall crypt, Have a great day.

nice tank! i love those pieces of manzanita--they are so expressive. i don't see speck of algae in there. you must have a good handle on water params.

Nice progression! I thought the curvy branch on the right was out of place until you put the Vals in the center, now it's starting to come together. Personally, I'd remove the plants from the left corner and trim your stems to accentuate the hard scape. I'm gonna manipulate your photo a bit here to explain, just say so and I'll remove it if you want...

75 low tech update

Just did a major trim and moved around some background plants. Its taking a while to figure out what grows well in this setup and what I like but that is part of the fun ...trial and error.
