Mini Asian Garden build

I have always wanted a asian garden but I have never had the area to do a large one. I am settling for a little one instead. I don't want to worry about algae and all that other fun stuff so I am going to leave this as an emersed setup(maybe?)

Specs:
30" 2 24 watt bulbs, 6500k
Dirt and sand substrate

Flora:
stargrass
pearl weed
AR
Staurogyne repens
glosso
Mermaid weed
purple bamboo

The big rock is going to be a waterfall. I made it out of Great Stuff. I am still not completely happy with it though. It happened to end out right in the middle and I can't move it easily. I think I will just put some moss and plants around it so it will be a smoother transition between it and the rest of the scape.

The creek bed is lined with a black garbage bag to hold water.

Looks great so far! Really nice job with the rock placement. Where'd you get the bridge from?

Gorgeous! Come build one at my house!

I'm fairly experienced with fish, but new to planted tanks.

I got the little bridged at Petsmart. I saw it and I had to have it. I am going to go get some little of these little lanterns from there too.

Got my lanterns! My stargrass also came in today. I also got my waterfall working. I added some christmas moss around all the rocks.

I am also really excited that I am starting to get some new growth on the glosso 2 days after planting it!

So I haven't seen much growth with the foreground yet. I was having problems with it growing upward so I had to keep replanting it and I think that slowed it down. Everything took a little while to start growing but now it is all growing pretty fast.

I decided I didn't like the fake rock I made so I took it out.

Don't mind the moss in the creek, I am trying to grow a lot out for a moss wall in my 29 gallon.

I am still trying to decide if I want to flood it or not. If I did, I would make it a shrimp tank.

So I increased the lighting and I have seen some greatly improved growth. I can't wait for my first carpet to form!

I moved things around a tiny bit to give the tank more depth. I moved the path a little closer on the left, made the creek skinnier, and made the foreground smaller

It has been awhile since I have updated this. I still haven't flooded it because I don't have the funds right now to buy the equipment for it.

I am getting so much glosso from this and another plant I don't know the name off. I feel like there should be more of a slope but it is a little late now.
